Corporate Hell[p]

Role: Creator

Project Type: Production Design for Stop Motion

Spring 2024

As an employee of a large corporation wraps up his day, he finds that his way out has transformed into a nightmarish, never-ending escalator. When the employee tries to run to the top, he finds himself spiraling in the endless escalator, unable to escape from this eternal corporate hell.

Corporate Hell[p] is a theoretical stop motion film. To develop the concept, I assembled a production design deck to communicate the overall design intent. This culminated in producing a prototype of the endless escalator set.

Images of endless escalator set

The endless escalator set is a 4’ long and 2 1/2’ tall escalator, with more than 50 individual pieces. Every element was modeled in SketchUp by myself and 3D printed, followed by a lengthy series of post-processing; this included multiple rounds of sanding, priming, applying automotive body filler, and final scenic treatments.
